The purpose of Free Books for Children (FBFC) is to provide free books so that children may have a choice in what they read.  We believe that the choice in reading materials would:

Motivate children to read
Encourage them to read on their own
Find pleasure in reading, and
Educate them in basic life skills

It is believed that FBFC would accomplish the following results:

Strengthen reading comprehensive skills
Improve reading scores
Improve the performance of at-risk children
Increase vocabulary
Help underachievers in succeeding, and
Develop self-confidence
